Most contractors do one part of the job. We survey, repair, replace and supply — so nothing gets lost between the report and the finished door.
A fire door is a tested assembly. If any one of these fails, the whole door fails. Explore what our inspectors check on every door, every visit.
KEEP SHUT
Certification label
A numbered label on the leaf top or hinge edge identifies the manufacturer and certification scheme. Our Q-Mark installation label sits on the frame. No label, no evidence — and that is the most common gap we find.
Each step produces something you can file, budget against or show an auditor.

The Responsible Person carries the duty
In England and Wales, whoever controls a non-domestic building or the common parts of a block must keep its fire safety measures — fire doors included — in efficient working order.
Checks you must be able to evidence
In residential buildings over 11 m, communal fire doors must be checked every three months and flat entrance doors every year, on a best-endeavours basis. We run the cycle and keep the record.
Paperwork is part of the door
Insurers, fire officers and auditors increasingly ask for proof. A labelled door, an installation certificate and a photographed record are what turns “we think it’s fine” into evidence.
Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland each have their own fire safety legislation. We plan inspection and remediation to the duties that apply where your building is.
Straight answers from the people who survey, repair and fit fire doors every working day.
You can’t tell by looking. A fire door is only as good as its weakest component — seals, closer, gaps, glazing, hinges and evidence of certification. A door-by-door survey is the only reliable way to know, and it gives you a priced schedule to act on.
Tell us about the building and we will call you back within one working day. Surveys are free for programmes of ten doors or more.
